New Website: Cultural Heritage for Nature Restoration

Cultural Heritage for Nature Restoration explores the vital role that intangible cultural heritage (ICH) - song, story, placenames, traditional ecological knowledge, cultural seasonal practices - can play in nature recovery and environmental stewardship. The site grew out of my British Academy policy paper, Integrating Intangible Cultural Heritage in Nature Recovery: A Place-Sensitive Approach in the Scottish Highlands (2025), and practical work with the Findhorn Watershed Initiative. This strand of my work offers strategic advice, creative programme design, and workshops for organisations, community groups, and policymakers working at the intersection of culture, heritage, and the environment.
